Web Producer
Kate is Sr. Web Producer for Clarkhoward.com. A graphic designer and web developer since the '90s, she handles the video, graphics, coding and other web tech. She works with Theo, Director of Content, and together they maintain the site, publish show notes, create podcasts, streaming media and newsletters, organize volunteer efforts and more. Since receiving her first radio at 5, music and media have been her thing. (Of course, at that time, "interactive media" meant CBs, ham radios and pretend-radio shows on pushbutton tape recorders!) A Film/Video major and DJ in college, she spent a few years in Public Access TV, but found her calling as a web developer the year they rolled out graphical web browsers. She hasn't looked back since.
She's been with Cox Radio since 2006, working as web producer for B98.5FM and 95.5 The Beat before joining the Clark team in June 2007. As an avid Clark listener since the 90's, she couldn't be happier!
In her off hours, Kate enjoys spending time with her family (husband, dog and cat), hiking, biking and playing music. She is a guitarist and songwriter for a six-piece funk/rock group that plays around the southeast. It's the best way she knows to diffuse 40+ hours in front of a computer screen each week! |
