Clark Howard is dedicated to the idea of giving back to the community through volunteerism, charitable contributions and his service in the Georgia State Defense Force. Join Clark and get involved.
Annually, December-March: Atlanta Habitat partners with working families, sponsors and communities to build affordable, quality homes and to provide support services that promote successful home purchases and ownership for families in need.
Thanks to all the kind volunteers who helped us on our 2012 build! We appreciate your service and hope to see you next year as we build Clark's 50th home! Registration opens the week after Thanksgiving.
Annually each Christmas season: Every kid deserves a toy at Christmas! For 21 years, Clark Howard, his generous listeners, and News/Talk WSB team up with Georgia DFACS to provide gifts for children in foster care across Georgia.
Because of YOUR generosity, the "Christmas Kids Campaign" collects about half of all the gifts given to children in foster care. Whether you donate online or in person, show a child someone cares about them this year!
Annually each August: WSB's 37-hour marathon broadcast helps cure cancer in children by collecting funds for the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The annual Care-a-thons have raised over $10 million!

Clark went to Joplin, MO in June 2011 to provide financial advice for tornado victims on the one-month anniversary of the historic storm. Those who vow to rebuild had lots of practical, everyday questions such as how to deal with insurance; how to get reimbursements; where their kids will go to school.
But amid the devastation, he also found pride: "The great inspiration to me, being here, is a spirit of patriotism. Right in front of me is an American flag that is tattered, that was in front of a church. Someone has improvised a flagpole out of twisted metal and rehung that flag. And it's just such a flashback to the reservoir of patriotism that we have in our country." He said it reminded him of the firemen raising the flag outside the World Trade Center after the 9/11 attacks.
