Bow lake is one of several lakes in Banff National Park that have this unusual translucent blue color that comes from the minerals washing down out of the mountains into the streams and lakes. The trip wasn't cheap, but once there, seeing the scenery was a great deal. |

 Submitted by: Lesley L. Destination: Hong Kong Best deal found: Star Ferry between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. HKD2.20 equals USD .28. A part of history, company started running ferries in 1898. Every person with a Frontier badge on was happy, funny, and wonderfully refreshing to be around when you're traveling. I got in on a deal and was one of the first Frontier air buses into Jackson Hole. After coming back from my trip, I'd easily pay more to get the level of professionalism and -for lack of a better term- happiness -of all the Fontier employees. Frontier is my new airline of choice |

 Submitted by: Michael W. Destination: Matamanoa- Fiji Best deal found: Some of the local wildlife from around the island. When it comes to snorkeling on reefs this is the absolute pinnacle. The best part is that at this particular Island I walked 100 feet to the water and swam 20 feet out into the Water to take this shot. The water is warm, and calm, and the staff at the resort are exactly the same way. |

Destination: Arizona Best deal found: While flying to Los Angeles on a commercial flight across the southwestern United States over northern Arizona, I spotted Echo Cliffs along US Route 89, just south of the border with Utah. I know this area well, having visited and hiked in it often. It was a treat to see the Echo Cliffs area from the air rather than from the usual ground level. I hope that you find it as interesting as I did. |

Destination: Western Samoa Best deal found: This was a very expensive trip, but the remote Samoan Island of Savaii, the last place to see the sun set each day, has beautiful beaches and lava cliff coast lines with amazing surf blasts and blow holes. Destination: Appalachian Trail Best deal found: This is one of the many lean-to's that we stayed in along the trail. I am writing in my journal about the unpleasantness of having to get up every morning and putting on cold, wet and dirty clothes. You may notice my socks that are so dirty they are standing up by themselves. We saved a lot of laundry money. |
